It’s the news Asher Roth fans have been waiting for: a new album is on the way. After teasing the announcement earlier this week, The Blonde Bob Saget let the cat out of the bag tonight. Arriving 2014, Roth’s long-awaited sophomore album — the follow-up to his 2009 debut, Asleep in the Bread Aisle — is called RetroHash (an anagram for Asher Roth, if you didn’t already catch it) and will be produced by Chicago duo Blended Babies, who’ve worked closely with Roth throughout the years, namely on 2011′s Pabst & Jazz.
RetroHash will be Asher’s first album not to be released through a major; back in June, he announced his decision to leave UMG and take the indie (or “scenic”) route. Good for him.
